R K Flooring Ltd was contracted by Prime Properties to carry out the full replacement of communal flooring at Blackthorn House, a multi-storey residential block in Romford. The works formed part of a planned refurbishment aimed at improving shared spaces and enhancing the overall standard of the building.
Scope of Works:
• Uplift and removal of existing floor coverings throughout communal corridors and stairwells
• Subfloor inspection and preparation to ensure a smooth, compliant base for installation
• Supply and installation of Cavalier Carpets Kingsman Range in a basket weave pattern, covering a total of 612m²
• Installation of new Genesis stair nosings to all staircases, enhancing both safety and durability
Project Outcome:
The installation has delivered a fresh, durable, and professional finish to the building’s communal areas. The Kingsman basket weave carpet provides a stylish and hard-wearing solution, while the addition of Genesis stair nosings ensures long-term performance in high-traffic zones. All works were completed efficiently with minimal disruption to residents.
